What We Do

How we help schools

Most of our grants to schools enable children whose families cannot pay to take part in school journeys. We can also support the provision of special benefits such as playground equipment, library books, music lessons or musical instruments.

We do not make grants for capital works, nor for staffing costs, although payment for outside tutors can be considered.

How we help students

We support young people under the age of 26 who are facing difficulty because their families struggle to contribute financially to their education.

We can support young people doing an apprenticeship, studying at a college or university, attending a school of art, music, dancing or drama, travelling for educational purposes, or to prepare for a profession, trade or apprenticeship. We can support students up to Masters level study but not for PhDs.
