The aims of the trip were to provide the students with an opportunity to get to know each other better, to help them grow in confidence and develop a greater degree of independence, and to spend a good amount of time making music. In Cardiff we were able to spend 4-5 hours every day in rehearsal. One of the special projects we were able to undertake was introducing nine volunteer violinists to the viola.
