Applications from Schools

  1. Schools must be community or voluntary schools or academies or free schools within the meaning of the Education Acts 1944 to 2011 situated either in the London Borough of Camden or the City of Westminster.
  2. Applications must be for special benefits. The Foundation will not fund such items as staff costs, building maintenance or text books. The school must demonstrate the educational benefit of the expenditure to the pupils at the school.
  3. Only one application per academic year will be considered.
  4. Retrospective applications will not be considered.
  5. Applications must be received at least three months before the proposed expenditure.
  6. Applicants must provide evidence of proposed expenditure such as a current price list for any equipment, travel and documents showing evidence of the school contribution to any expenditure.
  7. Trustees encourage applications to be made to other charities.

Applications from Students

  1. Grants will not be considered for people who are over the age of 25 at the start of the period to which the grant relates.
  2. Applicants must be attending or have attended a secondary school in the London Borough of Camden or the City of Westminster.
  3. Applications must be for financial help in pursuing apprenticeships, further or higher education at colleges or universities, attendance at schools of art, music dancing or drama, travel for educational purposes or preparation for entering a profession, trade, occupation or service.
  4. Grants will not be given to applicants who have declined a loan under the official government scheme.
  5. Applications will not be considered for doctoral study.
  6. Applicants must provide proof of acceptance on the course and evidence of proposed expenditure such as a current price list for any equipment or travel and documents showing evidence of income.
  7. Only one application per academic year will be considered.
  8. Retrospective applications will not be considered.
  9. Application forms should be completed in full – incomplete forms may not be considered or will cause delay.
